Now this course is all about preparing you for the Microsoft 365 apps Excel Associate exam. An expert is an individual that has taken their knowledge to the next level, demonstrating their mastering of both Word Expert and Excel Expert, passing both exams. The second level is Microsoft Office Specialist Expert. An associate is an individual who has demonstrated their expertise by passing any three of these four exams, Excel Associate, Word Associate, Outlook Associate, or PowerPoint Associate. The first level is Microsoft Office Specialist Associate. There is an associate level and an expert level. But let's review the two different levels of certification that are available for Microsoft 365 apps. So if you have any questions, reach out to me through LinkedIn learning in the Q and A section and I'll be glad to walk you through the pathways. I know this is new and it may be a little confusing. However, if you decide to pursue the associate certification in Microsoft 365 apps, then you'll want to take all of your exams in Microsoft 365 apps. So if you decide to pursue the associate certification for Office 2019, you'll want to go ahead and take all of those exams in Office 2019. However, if you received your certification on or after July 1, 2022, or you haven't received your first certification yet, you'll want to begin and complete your certification path in one or the other. When you go in for your certification exam, they will ask you which version you want to take and you can choose Office 2019 or Microsoft 365 apps. If you have passed one or more exams for Office 2019 prior to June 30th, 2022, you may continue in either Office 2019 or Microsoft 365 apps. There are two pathways that we need to understand. They'll still be offering certifications in Office 2013, 2016, and 2019, and will also now be offering certifications in Microsoft 365 apps. Microsoft is moving in a new direction for certifications.
